Victorian Tartanware Thimble Box - SOLD
Designed mainly as memorabilia during the mid to late 1800's - Tartanware was all the rage among the Victorian Scottish tourist set. Ranging from simple pill boxes to elaborate woodwork - I have collected some of my favourite pieces just to bring a wee bit of Scottish history to your home.
Many tartanware pieces have a specific 'lady-like' inspiration - much like this charming thimble box.
