Hepburn Muted Tartan

For Autumn 2024, SMWHome imagines a highland retreat replete with traditional Scottish tweeds and tartans - The Highland Lodge. 

Our Hepburn Muted Tartan is a modern color adaptation of the ancient Hepburn tartan, designed to be a softer, more subdued version with a palette of deep burgundy, muted green, earthy brown, soft blue, and black.  It reflects the Heoburn clan’s historic connection to the Scottish Lowlands, a powerful border family with Scottish and Northumbrian roots, and their legacy through figures like James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell - husband of Mary, Queen of Scots.
